Etrange Overlord Overview
Etrange Overlord is the newest title by Sohei Niikawa, creator of beloved TRPG series, Disgaea, which was originally released in 2003. This latest title is an action RPG that features key art and character designs by Shinichiro Otsuka, illustrator of the hit light novel series, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-.
Etrange Overlord follows the story of a young noblewoman who was framed for the murder of the king and subsequently sentenced to death by her own fiance, the son of the king. After she is summarily executed, she wakes up in the middle of a desert in hell. She later resolves to make the best possible life for herself there by setting off on a colorful and musical journey to overthrow the tyrannical Overlord of hell.
Etrange Overlord is set to release in early 2026 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.

Etrange Overlord Gameplay
Etrange Overlord is a fast-paced action RPG where players face down the denizens of hell with a total of 3 other companions on the field. Players choose from a total of over 15 playable characters who can specialize in close combat, long range attacks, and support. Entrange Overlord also introduces a unique "revolving lane" that surrounds the battlefield. These lanes will carry items, power-ups, and characters that can turn the tide in battle.
