FromSoftware Sent Out Confirmation Emails For Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test

Fans Receive Elden Ring Nightreign Playtest Confirmation Emails

FromSoftware announced on their Twitter (X) page on January 30, 2025 that confirmation emails for those who applied for the upcoming Elden Ring Nightreign network test have been sent out. Fans are quick to share the confirmation emails they received, expressing their excitement for the game and gratitude to FromSoftware for being selected.

Those who received their confirmation email will receive a follow-up email on February 11, 2025, which will contain a unique code they can use to download the Network Test client on their preferred platform. The Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

FromSoftware opened registration for the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test on January 10, 2025 until January 20, 2025. Unfortunately for fans who applied but did not receive an email, there is no additional information if there would be additional dates for the network test.

According to FromSoftware, the network test is a "preliminary verification test in which the selected testers play a portion of the game prior to the full game launch." The company added, "Various technical verifications of online systems will be examined by conducting large-scale network load tests." The network test will help FromSoftware determine the capabilities of its servers to accommodate multiple players at once.

The Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test will start from February 14 until February 16, 2025. Participants will be able to join five 3-hour long test sessions to playtest the game.

 ● Session 1 - February 14th from 3 AM to 6 AM PT
 ● Session 2 - February 14th from 7 PM to 10 PM PT
 ● Session 3 - February 15th from 11 AM to 2 PM PT
 ● Session 4 - February 16th from 3 AM to 6 AM PT
 ● Session 5 - February 16th from 7 PM to 10 PM PT

Scammers and Scalpers Already On The Move

There is reportedly an ongoing scam on Steam where players receive an invite for the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test. According to the comments, clicking on the invite will redirect the user to suspicious pages, hacking their accounts, and causing them to mass message their friend list with the same invite. FromSoftware only conducted the registration and confirmation for the playtest on their website and social media accounts, so links outside those will likely be unauthorized or malicious.

There are also multiple listings from different buy-and-sell online sites that came right after FromSoftware announced that they sent out the confirmation emails. Despite the codes not being available until February 11, scalpers already posted listings of "confirmed test codes" having ridiculous prices around $150-$200, while some are even up for auction.

Elden Ring NightrReign was first announced during Game Awards 2024, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. FromSoftware previously announced a 2025 release window for the game, but there is no official announcement regarding its exact release date.
