Dead Space Creator Leave Striking Distance Studios
Why Glen Schofield Left
In 2019, Schofield launched Striking Distance Studios with parent company Krafton, where he developed The Callisto Protocol, a spiritual successor to the first Dead Space. The game was met with mixed reviews and poor sales when it launched, and just this September, the former CEO stepped down and left Striking Distance Studios alongside chief operating officer Stacey Hirata and chief financial officer Johnny Hsu.
The former CEO desired to depart to pursue "new opportunities." He also noted that despite leaving, the company "studio's plans remain unaffected" and that the "focus is to continue producing exceptional content."
