Black Myth: Wukong’s latest update is so big that it may require players to delete the game and redownload it. In a Twitter (X) post on October 12, developer and publisher Game Science shared new details about the game’s current update.
According to the post, patch 1.0.20.21756 for PlayStation 5 will take a huge amount of space, approximately 93.5 GB. If the update fails due to low storage or other issues, players can either keep playing the current version or delete and reinstall the game to try again.
Additionally, installed mods could cause compatibility issues that may prevent players from launching the game, or an error could be displayed during gameplay. The developers recommend that users uninstall mods first, then run an integrity check to ensure the game will function properly.
This latest update was first released on October 13, 2025, for the PlayStation 5, and will be available on other platforms such as PC and Xbox Series X|S at a later date.
Experience Improvements and Bug Fixes
Black Myth: Wukong’s new update will bring a plethora of experience improvements and bug fixes. This includes enhanced combat against Yaoguai King "Giant Shigandang," better interaction interface, performance adjustments for PS5 and PC, and language support for Czech.
The update will include bug fixes for certain aspects of the Yaoguai Chief "Top Takes Bottom & Bottom Takes Top," as well as fixes for performance issues like screen ghosting and edge flickering. Additionally, we have made further adjustments to the game’s localization, including correcting translation errors, improving consistency in spelling, capitalization, and terminology, and fixing voiceover and subtitle errors.
