Previously presented as a 100-man battle royale mode for Battlefield 6, the status of this new game is now uncertain since REDSEC has recently been tagged as a "free-to-play" title. This suggests that the game may function similarly to Call of Duty Warzone, a game tied to the latest mainline Call of Duty games that shares similar content in terms of its shop and cosmetics, but exists as a standalone title that focuses on battle royale gameplay.
Regardless, fans can look forward to a new experience with Battlefield’s take on the popular multiplayer shooting genre, integrating classes and boasting the deadliest ring among battle royale titles. The community can also expect REDSEC to follow the success of Battlefield 6 in terms of popularity and immersiveness, as EA’s latest entry for their flagship shooter franchise currently has "Mostly Positive" reviews on Steam.
Here at Game8, we gave Battlefield 6 an 82 out of 100 for its improved gameplay and overall performance, taking the series in the right direction. To know more about our thoughts on the game, check out our review below.
Battlefield REDSEC Exclusive Twitch Drops
To commemorate the launch of REDSEC, Battlefield Studios will be holding a Twitch drops campaign where players can earn in-game rewards for both REDSEC and Battlefield 6. Those who wish to participate must link their EA and Twitch accounts and tune in to their favorite streamers playing REDSEC.
The campaign period begins on October 28 at 8:00 A.M. PT and will last until November 4 at 11:59 P.M. PT. Players earn rewards based on the number of hours they spend watching streams, which will be the following:
● 1 Hour - "Hitchhiking" Vehicle Decal
● 2 Hours - "Marauder" Vehicle Skin
● 3 Hours - "Highland Hunter" Weapons Package
● 4 Hours - "No Mercy" Soldier Skin

Once accomplished, these rewards will appear in players’ Drops Inventory, and can only be claimed within 24 hours. Claiming the bonuses on either REDESEC or Battlefield 6 will grant the items on both titles.
Not much information is currently available about REDSEC. EA is expected to reveal more details during the game’s upcoming livestream. The unveiling of the Official Gameplay trailer may indicate the title’s platforms, device specifications, and more, so Battlefield fans interested in giving the game a shot should consider tuning in.
