ARC Raiders Devs Vaguely Tease More Endgame Content
Embark Studios is Cooking to Keep Players Engaged

ARC Raiders is looking into making its PvE gameplay loop much more challenging to players, according to the design lead Virgil Watkins, and these upcoming challenges might be in the game already. Watkins expresses Embark Studios’ desire to expand and reshape the future of ARC Raiders through massive scale events, updates, and content roadmaps.
In an interview with Gamesradar+, Watkins teases a few features that might be coming to ARC Raiders’ endgame loop, which he notes as an unsustainable direction for the game: "I think we are pretty happy with what they are now, but I don't think we can subsist forever on that." He also says this in the context of the ARC Raiders’ growing skill ceiling, where players develop more detailed approaches and skills to endgame bosses.

"As players get more advanced with the game…the current set of drones becomes much less of a threat to them. So I think continuing to escalate that is where we’re looking to growing next," Watkin states. The newest ARC, the Shredder, is currently confined to a single map, but he has teased that this would only be the case "so far," suggesting that the Shredder may appear elsewhere in the future, alongside other upcoming bosses.
ARC Raiders Devs Have Ambitious Plans for the Future of the Game

Watkins vaguely suggests that ARC Raiders may see an onslaught of brand new bosses and content coming very soon, with some so ambitious that they might "blow up the server." When discussing how to keep players engaged during the endgame, Watkins says that their utmost priority is a mix of practicality and fun.
"We want to go wherever's practical for us, or wherever feels fun, but then you start running into the practical side of, will this blow up the server?" he ponders.

While Watkins claims that Embark’s ambitions for an updated endgame are large, he keeps the details of what’s coming vague, apart from one aspect of the game that’s been there this whole time.
The giant, non-interactive ARCs known as Emperors seem to hint towards the future of ARC Raiders’ postgame content, with Watkins noting that these behemoths are "what we're trying to show some contrast with as we go forward." Whether this means The Emperor will become an interactive boss fight later on in the game, or if it’s simply a means of showing scale for the other upcoming bosses in the game remains to be seen.
