⚫︎ Sony and Arc System Works have started emailing invites for the second Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls closed beta, running December 5–7 exclusively on PS5. The beta features new characters, stages, and updates from the first test, with full 72-hour access except during maintenance. CPU Battles and online matches will be available on December 5–6, with December 7 limited to online play only.
Players from the previous beta are automatically included, while those who registered but didn’t participate should also watch for invitation emails.

⚫︎ Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls will be conducting its second beta test from December 5 to 7, 2025 exclusively on the PlayStation 5. Players can access CPU and online battles during the first two days but will be restricted to online play on the final day. Participants of the previous beta test will be automatically registered and informed via email from PlayStation.
The roster will also see the addition of Spider-Man and Ghost Rider, bumping the number of playable characters to eight. Two new stages with unique interactive features based on the Savage Land and the X-Mansion will also be added. The game is promised to also have better balancing, optimized performance, improved visuals, and a smoother user experience.

⚫︎ Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls rolls out invites for its closed beta, which will run from September 6-8. Players who received an invitation email must register to confirm their participation.

⚫︎ Sony has officially outlined its lineup for Tokyo Game Show 2025, confirming that Ghost of Yōtei and Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls will be featured at the event. Alongside these titles, PlayStation will also showcase Astro Bot in a dedicated Family Game Park section.

⚫︎ Sony Interactive Entertainment and Arc System Works have announced a closed beta for the four-versus-four tag fighting game Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls on PlayStation 5, scheduled for September 5–7.
The beta will include six playable characters, online matches, spectator mode, a training tutorial, and additional features. Registration is now open via PlayStation.com.

⚫︎ Sony Interactive Entertainment and Arc System Works have released a 12-minute “Beginner’s Guide” video for MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls ahead of its first playable demo at EVO 2025, taking place August 1–3 in Las Vegas.
In the video, game director Kazuto “Pachi” Sekine walks players through the fundamentals before they try the global trial version. Sekine encouraged attendees to provide feedback, emphasizing the studio’s goal of growing the game alongside its community.

⚫︎ Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls was officially announced during the June 2025 PlayStation State of Play. Developed by Arc System Works in collaboration with Marvel Games and PlayStation Studios, the anime-styled 4v4 fighting game is set to launch on PlayStation 5 and PC in 2026.
Featuring iconic Marvel characters like Iron Man, Captain America, and Spider-Man, the game combines Arc’s signature visual style with lore-driven moves and detailed stages filled with easter eggs. Designed with both newcomers and competitive players in mind, Fighting Souls offers simplified controls alongside mechanics that emphasize team synergy and character mastery.
