State of Play 2023 Games Announcement Highlights

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second game in the remake project, has a new teaser and will be released on the PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024. The game continues where the original game left off, with Cloud and his pals traveling throughout the planet. Pre-order the Twin Pack to obtain the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.

Spider-Man 2

The presentation of the expanded Marvel's New York and the open-world gameplay in Spider-Man 2 is narrated by Bryan Intihar, the game's creative director.

Resident Evil 4 Remake

Three new updates for the Resident Evil 4 remake are available to fans. On September 21, Separate Ways DLC, which allows players to experience the game from Ada's point of view, will be released for PS4 and PS5. On the same day, an additional content update for the Mercenaries Mode will be added. Resident Evil 4 VR Mode will be available in PS VR2 this winter.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

The official story trailer for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was unveiled. Players assume the character of a Na'vi child kidnapped by the RDA. After 15 years in captivity, the child must reunite with their lost heritage. Meet the Na'vi clans, learn their ways, and join them in protecting Pandora.

Helldivers 2

A new trailer for Helldivers 2 has been released, showing Johan Pilestedt and the Arrowhead Game Studio the gameplay of taking on a Bile Titan. The game is a fast-paced, third-person co-op shooter launching on PS5 and Steam on February 8, 2024. Pre-orders start September 22 at 1am PST.

FoamStars

Foamstars will be having an open beta party. Anyone with a PS5 can join the party for free. Open Beta starts on September 29 at 6PM PDT and ends on October 1 at 11:59 PM PDT. The trailer also showed the characters that players can use in the beta party.

Tales of Arise

Bandai Namco Studios revealed an expansion for the two-year-old role-playing game Tales of Arise. Beyond the Dawn, the expansion, will be released on November 9.

Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord

Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord is a VR game where you team up to save San Francisco from the Ghost Lord. The game has a variety of missions, gadgets, and puzzles. Play solo or with friends. Available October 26, 2023.

Baby Steps

In the walking simulator Baby Steps, you take on the role of Nate, an unemployed failson who learns the power of walking. Explore a misty environment by placing each footstep yourself in this physics-based game from the creators of Ape Out and Getting Over It.

Ghostrunner 2

Jack has returned! Be among the first to experience Jack's new arsenal, putting your cyber ninja katana and motorbike abilities to the test in the newly released Ghostrunner 2 Demo. Preorders for Ghostrunner 2 on PS5 let you download the demo.

Honkai Star Rail

Honkai Star Rail will be coming to PS5 on October 11, 2023

Deep Earth Collection

New Faceplates and DualSense Colors are Introduced in the PS5's Deep Earth Collection. Metallic components from the Deep Earth Collection are modeled after the planet's depths. Your options include volcanic Red in flames, captivating Cobalt Blue, or sleek Sterling Silver. Accessible for PS5 and DualSense console covers.
