Pokémon Pokopia Extended Trailer Reveals New Details
New Pikachu and Snorlax Forms
Pokémon Pokopia has unveiled a new trailer that features a closer look at the cozy farming sim, including new forms for Pikachu and Snorlax. After the game’s release date announcement on November 11, The Pokémon Company (TPC) followed it up by premiering an extended trailer on November 13.
The 10-minute video delved deeper into the features and mechanics of the upcoming Pokémon spinoff. One of the highlights fans quickly noticed was the introduction of the newest forms for Pikachu, Snorlax, and other Pokémon.

As revealed by TPC on its official Twitter (X), the new form for Pikachu is called "Peakychu." It is described as, "A pale Pikachu whose fur is a mysterious color. Its drooping ears somehow make it seem a little feeble."
This new variant bumps up Pikachu’s form count, which goes to show how much focus TPC gives to their lovable electric mascot. From different costumes, Gigantamax form, and numerous evolutions, Pikachu continues to be one of the most, if not the most, popular Pokémon..

Meanwhile, the new Snorlax form is called "Mosslax," a Snorlax that has slept for quite some time. Its description reads, "Moss has grown all over this Snorlax’s body, and it looks like a flower is blooming atop its head. It must have been asleep for a really long time."
Mosslax is the second form or variant that the huge sleepy beast dons. Following its Gigantamax form that debuted in the Generation VIII games, Mosslax looks to take a new perspective on how Snorlax’s sleeping habits may take them.
Professor Tangrowth Teaching Ditto The Basics and Smearguru’s Creative Touch

Aside from Pikachu and Snorlax, Pokémon Pokopia will also feature new variants for Tangrowth and Smeargle. Both Pokémon look to guide players in their journey of turning a barren land upside down and building paradise for all.
After waking up, Ditto explores the island and meets a peculiar-looking Tangrowth. "Professor Tangrowth," as dubbed by other Pokémon on the island, explains the situation and convinces Ditto to help restore the town to its former glory, welcoming both Pokémon and humans alike.
Other than Professor Tangrowth, Ditto will also meet "Smearguru," a Smeargle with vibrant colors splattered around its body while using its tail as its paintbrush. Its role in the game is yet to be determined, but it seems that players will interact with each other a couple of times.
Ditto Rug Early Purchase Bonus and GameShare Details

Alongside new details about the game, TPC also opened pre-orders for the digital version of Pokémon Pokopia. Starting on November 13, fans can now pre-order the game through the Nintendo eShop for $69.99.
Those who pre-order the game will receive an in-game Ditto rug as an early purchase bonus. The rug can be used to decorate players’ houses and can be claimed until January 31, 2027.
Furthermore, Pokémon Pokopia supports GameShare, allowing up to four players to join a multiplayer session even if only one person owns the game. Most surprisingly, this feature enables cross-generation multiplayer, letting a player who owns the game on Nintendo Switch 2 share it with friends who only have the original Nintendo Switch console.

Additionally, Pokémon Pokopia will utilize Nintendo’s latest Game-Key Card system for its physical release. This system requires players to download the full game from the internet, as the card only functions as an activation key and does not contain all the game data.
Ever since it was first revealed, Pokémon Pokopia has piqued the interest of many for its unique twist on the iconic Pokémon franchise. It will stand as TPC’s first dedicated life simulation and farming game.
Pokémon Pokopia is set to be released on March 5, 2026, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2. To stay up to date with the latest information about the game, check out our article below.
