Gamera Games Announces New Information for Games

Gamera Games announced updates for Dyson Space Program, The Awakener: Risen, The Awakener: Forgotten Oath, and new releases for 2024. The broadcast also showed a new prequel for The Awakener: Forgotten Oath which will be released on October 13, 2023.

Dyson Space Program

Dyson Space Program is a base-building simulation game in Early Access that has been available since 2021. It is a game all about optimizing and creating your own Dyson Sphere to create a galaxy-wide industrial empire.

Upcoming Major Update

A massive gameplay update trailer which showcases the Darkfog, intergalactic neighbors that don’t take kindly to you building factories on planets that are theirs to conquer. The Darkfog is a constantly growing population that will start to propagate from Black Holes the moment the player starts a new game. They will invade your base from time to time with varying degrees of intensity based on the progress of the Dyson Sphere.

Darkfog: When Invaders Attack

Defend against the invaders using a multitude of turrets and cannons like the Gauss Turrets Implosion Cannons, Laser Turrets, and Missile Launchers. When you are being overwhelmed, use the Supernova function to briefly strengthen your defenses and increase the firepower done by your turrets and cannons. Later on, the Darkfog will start to shoot planetary lasers at the Dyson Sphere. To protect it, you must deploy Planetary Shields to prevent the lasers from damaging your factories and defenses.

Defend Your Factories

Enhance your defenses and other capabilities using the CentreBrain upgrades to keep your Dyson Sphere safe as well as to deploy drones to reconstruct any structure as long as materials are available. Balancing the defense of your structures as well as the optimization of production will be the key to keep yourself safe from disasters.

What to Expect in 2024

Future updates coming in 2024 will include space combat and taking the fight to the Darkfog’s hive. Also, in-game performance will be further improved as one of their main focal points in terms of improving their game.

The Awakener: Risen

The Awakener: Risen is an upcoming Action RPG similar to the Devil May Cry franchise, as well as the more recent Final Fantasy XVI. Featuring fast-paced combat and battleship fights, this game looks to create a unique spin in the Action RPG trend. The stream showed off new content as well as different development updates.

Release Delayed to 2025

The game was originally set to be released in 2023, but will be pushed back to 2025. The producer explained that they wanted to offer a more complete experience when the game launches. It was explained that they had to create more content as they went through the development process, and after deliberation, they decided to postpone the release date.

New Updates and What to Expect

In the trailer they showed off a new ability for the Warrior class called “Berserk”, this can be activated by succeeding certain conditions and will alter the Warrior’s animations to make their sword swings more fluid and agile. As the game gets more polished, they plan to show more abilities from the classes they showed from their previous trailers.

The Awakener: Forgotten Oath - New Prequel

The Awakener: Forgotten Oath will be the prequel to the events of The Awakener: Risen, as you will journey through the world of Sylvalond as you stop the coming annihilation. Be reborn and strengthen yourself to become a true Awakener. Fight your way through hordes of enemies as well as gigantic bosses as you upgrade your character and customize your abilities to stop the coming annihilation.

The game is set to be released on Oct. 18, 2023, with a playable demo available on Steam now.

Gamera Games New Updates and Upcoming Releases

The showcase also featured trailers for other Gamera Games titles. Most of the new releases are slated for a 2024 release date, with some already having available demos like Candlelight: Lament. New ports were also announced for YeXian Cultivation Card Game for mobile, Volcano Princess and Xuan Yuan Sword: Mists of the Mountains for the Nintendo Switch.
