Unrecord Overview
Unrecord is an upcoming single-player narrative-driven FPS game through the unique perspective of a body cam. The title will launch for the PC, while other consoles are still unconfirmed. A release date still has not been revealed, as the developers, the French game studio DRAMA, assure fans the game is progressing steadily, and are merely keeping their cards close to themselves in order to surprise gamers in the future once more are revealed.
It was first revealed back in March of 2023, where it trended on social media where most viewers could not distinguish the game apart from real life. It garnered controversy for depicting violence too realistically, as well as gaining doubt over the authenticity and existence of a game. Studio DRAMA then posted a video revealing the game being played on the Unreal Engine 5 developmental window, confirming it as a video game.
Unrecord will have players take on the role of a police officer in the middle of a complex case, where they will have to use their wits, detective skills, and ability to wield firearms to neutralize threats or protect themselves. The game will be played strictly through the perspective of the officer’s body camera as they progress through the title while seeking to crack the ongoing case.

Unrecord Gameplay
Unrecord is a narrative-driven first-person shooter from the perspective of a body cam. Players will be able to move and aim similar to traditional FPS games, but their movement mechanics and gunplay are made to feel as realistic as possible. It implements accurate physical bobbing, leaning, and jumping with simple maneuvering, and also requires precise aiming by hand without gaming crosshairs.
Aiming their pistol flashlights around dark environments will be crucial in discovering clues that allude to the case, and so players must be observant and thorough in their roles as officers. As people of the law, they will also be able to choose between dialogue choices to bark rapid instructions in the heat of conflict, ordering hostiles to put their weapons down or give answers related to their case.
