Silent Hill: Townfall Latest News
⚫︎ Silent Hill: Townfall may be a console launch exclusive title for the PS5. The game's official website only lists Steam, Epic Games, and PS5 as platforms with Xbox Series X|S and the Nintendo Switch 2 absent.
⚫︎ Annapurna Interactive and Screen Burn has released an official announcement trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall during the February 2026 State of Play presentation. Set to release for the PlayStation 5 and PC, Silent Hill: Townfall features a new protagonist in a new setting, but all the same scares and atmospheric dread the series is known for.
Silent Hill: Townfall Overview
Silent Hill: Townfall is the latest chapter in Konami’s long-running Silent Hill franchise, coming to PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam, Epic Games). Developed by Screen Burn Interactive (formerly No Code), the game is a first-person horror experience that follows Simon Ordell, a man trapped in a loop who repeatedly wakes up in the water near the fog-covered town of St. Amelia.
Unlike previous entries set in the eponymous Maine town of Silent Hill, Townfall takes place in St. Amelia, a new location that retains the series’ signature atmosphere of dense fog, haunting monsters, and pervasive dread. Players must explore the seemingly abandoned town using a CRTV radio, carefully manage limited resources, and evade the horrors that lurk in every corner.
Along the way, they piece together the mystery of Simon’s past and his connection to the town, uncovering the dark secrets that drive the game’s psychological horror.

Silent Hill: Townfall Gameplay

Silent Hill: Townfall is played entirely from a first-person perspective, marking a significant departure from the series’ traditional third-person view. In the official trailer, protagonist Simon Ordell is shown wielding a variety of weapons beyond the standard handguns, including melee tools such as a wooden stick club.
Like previous entries in the franchise, the core gameplay revolves around exploration, survival, and puzzle-solving within a story-driven environment. What sets Townfall apart from other entries is the introduction of the CRTV, a portable pocket television that displays cryptic video signals. In the reveal trailer, Simon uses the CRTV to detect nearby monsters, making it a key tool for both navigation and survival as players confront the horrors lurking throughout St. Amelia.
Silent Hill: Townfall Characters
Simon Ordell

Simon Ordell is the protagonist of Silent Hill: Townfall. He is depicted as an amnesiac who awakens in the mist-covered coastal town of St. Amelia, only to discover he is trapped in a recurring time loop, reliving the same day over and over.
With each reset, the circumstances surrounding him grow increasingly disturbing. To uncover the truth behind the town’s horrors, Simon must rely on his resourcefulness, a portable CRT television device that appears central to the mystery, and any tools or clues he can gather within the environment.
