Project TAL Overview
Project TAL is an upcoming AAA singleplayer action-RPG based on Korean mythology and folklore with a focus on the traditional Tal masks, made into an explorable fantasy open-world. Developed by MADNGINE and published by WEMADE MAX, the game is slated for release in 2027 on PC and consoles. Set in an alternate world, the main character of the story will experience an "emotionally resonant story about healing a wounded world."
It features cinematic and fast-paced combat that allows players to dish out massive damage by leaping onto giant monsters, delivering powerful attacks, making use of weaknesses, counterattacks, and different abilities to emerge victorious. Players will be accompanied by intelligent NPC companions in battle with a range of roles and skills.

Project TAL Gameplay
Project TAL features fast-paced, cinematic, and exhilarating action combat that is reminiscent of soulslike gameplay. Players will be able to climb onto massive monsters to deliver devastating strikes face-to-face, as well as exploit the opponents’ weaknesses to their advantage.
Furthermore, despite being a singleplayer game, they will not be playing alone. NPC companions will accompany the player in battle, each with their own unique skill sets and combat roles, such as defense, support, melee, ranged, and even magic-wielders. These intelligent allies will also have their own personality traits and quirks, opening up a wide range of possibilities for more personal interaction such as catching a falling companion mid-battle, or having support characters protect the party with a magical barrier.
