Orbitals Overview
Orbitals is an upcoming intergalactic co-op adventure that blends 1990s retro anime aesthetics with modern 3D gameplay. Developed by the Tokyo-based studio Shapefarm and published by Kepler Interactive, the game follows the journey of Maki and Omura, two inexperienced but determined explorers on a mission to save their crumbling space station from a supernatural cosmic storm.
The experience is built from the ground up for two-player cooperation, requiring players to coordinate closely to pilot spaceships through asteroid fields, solve environmental puzzles, and navigate uncharted sectors of the galaxy.
Orbitals is set to be released exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2 in Summer 2026.

Orbitals Gameplay
Orbitals is an asymmetrical co-op adventure where two players control rookies Maki and Omura to save their home from a supernatural cosmic storm. The gameplay blends 3D platforming and puzzle-solving with high-stakes space piloting, requiring constant communication as each character uses unique tools that must be combined to overcome hazards.
Designed specifically for the Nintendo Switch 2, the experience transitions between intense teamwork and atmospheric "breather" moments inspired by 90s retro anime. Players can team up via local split-screen using two sets of Joy-Con 2s or through the console's integrated GameShare and GameChat features.
