Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Overview
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is an upcoming action-adventure game set in World War 2-era Paris, occupied by invading forces. The game is being developed by Skydance Interactive and is set to release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam sometime in 2026, after being originally scheduled for 2025.
The story follows Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America, and Azzuri, the 1940s Black Panther, as they combat a sinister Hydra plot. Set decades before hero team-ups were the norm, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra sees Captain America and Black Panther at odds with each other despite facing a common enemy. To defeat Hydra, they must set their differences aside and learn to work together.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Gameplay
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is a single-player, narrative-driven action game. Its gameplay is focused on combat, stealth, and cinematic set pieces. Built in Unreal Engine 5, the game features hyper-realistic environments, character models, and animations.
As the story progresses, players will be able to experience the story from multiple perspectives, as they will be switching between four playable characters, namely Captain America, Black Panther, a Wakandan spy named Nanali, and Gabriel Jones, a Howling Commando.
