⚫︎ PlayStation State of Play September 2025 | Everything Announced (Game8)
LET IT DIE: INFERNO Overview

Let It Die: Inferno is the latest entry in the Let It Die franchise, following the original 2016 game and DEATHVERSE: LET IT DIE. Launching on PS5 on December 3, 2025, and available for pre-order now, this new installment takes the series into roguelite survival PvEvP action.
Set after humanity’s recovery from the cataclysm known as Earth Rage, a massive chasm suddenly opens called the Hell Gate. Players take on the role of a Raider, tasked with exploring its depths in search of the Eye of the Reaper, a powerful crystal said to hold the energy to rule the world.
The game features third-person melee combat with dual-wielding weapons, challenging players to survive not only against grotesque monsters but also rival human Raiders. Each stage of Hell brings unpredictable encounters and brutal battles, blending PvE exploration with PvP intensity as you carve your way deeper into the abyss.

LET IT DIE: INFERNO Gameplay

The core gameplay loop of Let It Die: Inferno is built around PvEvP survival action. Players assume the role of an immortal explorer known as a Raider and can select from multiple characters, each equipped with unique, character-specific weapons. Combat is exclusively melee-based, with all players dual-wielding weapons. Weapon combinations within the equipment slots unlock special attacks, adding variety to combat encounters.
Exploration takes place within the Hell Gate, a large chasm that serves as the game’s primary setting. Each descent features randomized stage layouts, item placements, and enemy spawns, incorporating roguelite elements. Players must survive encounters with both monsters and other Raiders. A Hell Gate depth counter and timer are also present, though their exact functions have not yet been clarified. We can also see in the UI, there seem to be missions you can do during your runs.
In addition to the core survival gameplay, a dedicated competitive mode is available, allowing players to engage in direct PvP matches. Early previews have highlighted enemies such as the Nocent Pseudocean, as well as weapons including a spiked baseball bat and a fan-blade weapon with sharpened edges.
