Horizon Hunters Gathering Overview
Set in the same universe as Aloy’s adventures in the Horizon series, Horizon Hunters Gathering lets players choose from a roster of highly skilled heroes called "Hunters" to take on the world’s mechanical threats. Each Hunter comes with their own unique playstyle and weapons, which can be further upgraded through a roguelite progression system.
As a multiplayer-focused Horizon game, three players must work together to defeat deadly machines that roam Horizon’s world. These hunts are highly replayable and emphasize teamwork, strategy, and skill. The game features two main modes: Machine Incursion, where players fend off waves of machines culminating in a powerful boss, and Cauldron Descent, a multi-stage trial with shifting environments and hidden rewards, reminiscent of a roguelike experience.
As a multiplayer-focused title, the game also includes a social hub where players can meet, interact, customize their gear, and prepare for upcoming missions.
Horizon Hunters Gathering will support cross-play between PC and PS5, allowing players on both platforms to team up seamlessly. It does not have a release date yet, but it is confirmed to launch on PlayStation 5 and Steam.
