⚫︎ High On Life 2 is coming out on the Nintendo Switch 2 on April 20, 2026. The game releases two months after other platforms, unlike its' predecessor which took roughly three years for a Switch release.
⚫︎ Squanch Games announced that pre-orders for High On Life 2 are now available. Pre-ordering the game will grant players a limited cosmetic for select weapons.

High On Life 2 Overview
High On Life 2 is the sequel to Squanch Games’ sci-fi comedy first-person shooter, bringing back its signature blend of fast-paced gunplay, absurd humor, and talking alien weapons. Set years after the events of the original game, players once again take on the role of a bounty hunter, traveling across strange alien locations while tracking down new targets tied to a larger conspiracy.
The game retains its character-driven weapons, over-the-top tone, and story-focused single-player campaign, while introducing new tools and movement mechanics, including a skateboard-style traversal system shown in gameplay previews.

High On Life 2 Gameplay
High On Life 2 is a single-player first-person shooter built around fast, arcade-style combat and character-driven weapons that actively talk and react during gameplay. Players take on bounty contracts, fight through alien enemies, and navigate sci-fi environments using sentient guns, each with its own personality and combat style.
Alongside shooting, the game features light exploration and traversal elements, including a skateboard-based movement system shown in trailers. Based on the previous installment, missions may blend combat, dialogue, and environmental interactions to keep the experience focused on action while maintaining the series’ signature humor and pacing.
