Grounded 2 Overview
Grounded 2 is the second installment and sequel to the Grounded series, pulling players back into its quirky world. Set two years after the first game, the original crew of Max, Ally, Willow, and Pete come back, ready to take on another thrilling adventure—this time, in the depths of Brookhollow Park. Shrunk again, in a much bigger world, traversing the new wilds of the park, crafting weapons and armor, and building a base in this survival-adventure. Beware—there’s still something else out in the wilderness…and it hasn’t forgotten the past.
Set to release on PC and Xbox Series X|S in Early Access on July 29, 2025, it promises a larger, more expansive overall experience compared to the first, with new environments to explore, tools to use, bugs to meet, and even a new handy gameplay function called Buggies, where players can recruit friendly bugs to be their personal carriages.
Grounded 2 Gameplay
Grounded 2 is a survival-adventure game where players will explore, build, and survive together. Shrunk to the size of a literal ant, players will need to use their wits and smarts to stay alive in the vast world—one that just got infinitely bigger.
Build a strong homebase, craft weapons and armor to keep the pesky hostile insects at bay, and traverse the park and playground on friendly bugs appropriately called Buggies. It’s a bug eat bug world out there—especially with all the perils and threats of being a mere inch tall.
