Yellow Brick Games, founded in 2020 by industry veterans including Mike Laidlaw (a key figure behind games like Dragon Age), began its journey with a vision of creating immersive, player-driven experiences. The studio, based in Quebec, Canada, initially partnered with Private Division to publish the game but later chose to self-publish in 2024, emphasizing their creative control over the project. Eternal Strands Gameplay
Eternal Strands is a third-person fantasy action-adventure game that promises a gameplay experience where the world itself becomes your most potent weapon. At the core of this adventure lies a system that reacts in real-time to your actions, allowing for interactivity in combat. You will be able to manipulate heat and cold as well as harness telekinetic abilities.
It’s not just combat, but the exploration will have a high degree of freedom where every surface will be climbable. You can also use your magical abilities to create bridges, burn obstacles, or launch yourself across vast distances.
The game's "Cast and Combine" gameplay trailer for Eternal Strands gives players a glimpse of the Highland Iceclaw, a terrifying, flying Epic. It is a formidable opponent that will test players' skills and reflexes. Its ice attacks will force players to dodge and weave, or take a more daring approach by climbing onto its back mid-flight for a kinetic launch.
The trailer also highlights the game's magic system. By casting and combining magic powers strategically, players can create powerful effects that can turn the tide of battle.
