Marvel Rivals will be released on December 6, 2024 according to its Gamescom ONL 2024 announcement. It will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. All heroes will be unlocked and free to play on launch and beyond!

Marvel Rivals Tests
Closed Beta Test - July 2024
Marvel Rivals' first closed beta test was held from July 23, 2024, 6 a.m. EDT / 3 a.m. PDT to August 5, 2024, 3 a.m. EDT / 12 a.m. PDT for both consoles and PCs. Players interested in joining have a different set of instructions in order to register. More details can be found by heading over to the game's official website.

PC Closed Alpha Test - May 2024
Marvel Rivals’ first closed alpha test has concluded! It was active from May 10, 2024 at 5 p.m. PDT / 8 p.m. EDT, to May 20 at 11:59 p.m. PDT / May 21 at 2:59 a.m. EDT. Look to the table below to find when the test ends in your respective region!
Players had to sign up and register on their website to try and get a chance to be one of the first few playtesters in the world during its active period.

Release Announcement History
August 21, 2024
The release date for Marvel Rivals was finally announced to be December 6, 2024 for PC (Steam, Epic Games), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Furthermore, it was announced that all heroes will be unlocked and free-to-play at launch and throughout the game’s release, meaning microtransactions aren’t needed to purchase other playable heroes.
July 23, 2024
Marvel Rivals Closed Beta Test started on July 23 at 3:00 p.m. PDT and was available until August 5 at 12:00 a.m. PDT for lucky individuals who were chosen. It was confirmed that crossplay was only available for consoles, and that more content will be shared within the coming days.

It was announced that Marvel Rivals will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S alongside the PC release.
May 10, 2024
Marvel Rivals Closed Alpha Test started on May 10 5:00 p.m. PDT and ran until May 20 11:59 p.m. PDT. 19 different heroes and villains were playable at the time, as well as three different maps for players to enjoy and give feedback for the developers to improve upon.
