In Zoochosis, you step into the shoes of Paul, a rookie zookeeper embarking on their very first night shift. What starts as a routine job of feeding animals and maintaining enclosures quickly spirals into a nightmare when a mysterious mutagenic blight infects the creatures in your care. Suddenly, familiar faces turn into terrifying monstrosities of flesh, bone, and teeth.
To survive until dawn, you’ll need to outsmart these mutated beasts, all while racing against time to create a vaccine and reverse the horrific transformations. But as you dive deeper into this harrowing task, you’ll soon realize that curing them might be an even greater challenge than you ever imagined.
Zoochosis Gameplay
Zoochosis offers a dual gameplay experience, balancing the routine responsibilities of a zookeeper with the intense challenge of curing mutated animals. On one side, you'll handle everyday zookeeper duties like preparing animal food by processing meat and vegetables into portable bricks, portioning them according to each animal’s diet, and delivering them to the enclosures. You’ll also be tasked with cleaning up waste, performing health checks, and managing the enclosures to keep things running smoothly.
The other side of gameplay, which is still kept under wraps, involves navigating the dangerous territory of mutated beasts, scavenging for tranquilizer guns, and piecing together a way to synthesize a vaccine that can reverse the grotesque mutations. Surviving these encounters and finding a cure will test your wits and courage in ways you never expected.
