Ys X: Nordics Story Plot
A 17-year-old Adol Christin, the main protagonist of the Ys series, was setting sail towards Celceta, where they found themselves having to go through the ever-expansive Obelia Bay filled with thousands of islands. There, he encounters two opposing factions: the "Normans," power warrior seafarers, and the "Griegers," unknown monsters that have been causing harm to Obelia Bay’s inhabitants.
Feeling compelled to help, they fend off the Griegers. Adol then meets a peculiar female Norman pirate named Karja Batla, who is the same age as him. They both join forces and battle together in unison to save the people of Obelia Bay and drive off the Griegers.
Ys X: Nordics Gameplay
Ys X: Nordics will have a "Cross Action System" wherein the player can control Adol and Karja in battle simultaneously or separately. Solo mode will let you control only one character of the two, while the other will attack and support you automatically. Dual mode will give you the ability to control both with a series of actions in a semi-turn-based style.
As a game set in a huge open bay, you will have control over a ship to navigate between islands. It won’t be smooth sailing, however, as you must engage in naval combat to safely arrive at your destination!

The promotional trailer, set entirely in Japanese, quickly showcases all characters of Ys X: Nordics and what their intentions for the narrative may be. It also briefly teases quick flashes of the game’s climax with what seems to be Adol gravely injured, profusely bleeding from his chest.
