Matsunbo Hopes the Unicorn Overlord Exceeds “One Million Copies”
Final Fantasy Tactics(FF Tactics) director Yasuumi Matsunbo recently shared a snapshot of his Nintendo Switch copy of Unicorn Overlord on his Twitter(X) account, sparking a flurry of responses from fans. Many followers throughout the years have been urging Matsunbo to consider creating a new game similar to FF Tactics, or remaking the original Tactics altogether. As a response, he encourages fans to support Unicorn Overlord instead. He prays that the "sales of this new simulation RPG will exceed one million copies."
While specific sales figures for the game remain undisclosed, it seems Unicorn Overlord may just make that one million copy threshold. Atlus Japan recently issued an apology for the ongoing stock shortages and short supply of the game in retail stores.
