Unknown 9: Awakening Story Plot
You play as the young and courageous Haroona, a Quaestor with special powers, allowing her to access a peculiar dimension called the Fold. You must master your unique connection with the Fold if you are to succeed in learning the powerful secret knowledge you seek. Bring the Fold’s powers into your own, but be wary of the Ascendants, who want to use the Fold to alter the past and change human history. Your quests will take you through some of the most mysterious places the world has to offer, including 19th-century Gothic landscapes, deserts, jungles, and more.
Unknown 9: Awakening Gameplay
Unknown 9: Awakening features story-driven third-person action-adventure gameplay. Thanks to Haroona’s connection to the Fold, you’re able to channel its powers into the area around you. You’ll explore some of the world’s most exotic locations back in the 19th century and encounter members of the Ascendants along the way. Haroona can be seen in promotional content taking down foes with the Fold’s powers by slamming the ground, causing shockwaves, dashing for mobility, and firing Umbric energy projectiles. Alternatively, she’s also capable of eliminating enemies the old-fashioned way—with guns.
