World of Tanks Gameplay
World of Tanks has four game modes, each catering to different player tastes. From smaller scale 15 vs. 15 solo games to full wars for resources in a global map, the game has a variety of options for a variety of players.
With over 1000 tanks in the game, players can experiment with different tanks, and find one that they truly like. It also presents strategic planning opportunities as the tanks come in different tiers and classes.
Tanks in the game are sorted into five classes: Light, Medium, Heavy, Tank Destroyers, and Self-Propelled Guns. These categories are based on the tank’s mobility and ability to withstand damage. Light tanks are the most mobile, but easy to eliminate. Heavy tanks are slow, but hard to kill. Tank Destroyers and Self-Propelled Guns are specialist classes that focus on a particular objective. Tanks are separated into different tiers, and the higher the tank’s tier is, the more powerful it is.
Further adding to the game is tank upgrades, where players can spend in-game currency to upgrade their tank’s parts. Each part of the tank comes in modules. These can be upgraded separately. These modules are the gun, turret, radio, engine, and suspension. To acquire higher-level modules, they must be researched with experience points, but the reward of moving on to the next tier of tanks is too much to ignore.
Finally, there are personal missions to tackle. These campaigns give players unique crews, tanks, and other valuable rewards, all of which enhance the player’s current tank roster. Finally, completing sector 3 missions will grant players a tier XI tank to use.
World of Tanks Story Plot
As a multiplayer game, World of Tanks gives players the opportunity to create their own stories and narratives within the game. However, World of Tanks has personal missions for players which has short stories to justify them being in the battlefield and fighting other tanks.
