Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Gameplay
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will overhaul and update the original 1996 Tomb Raider’s gameplay to fit with modern standards. Confirmed movement options available to Lara Croft include long jumps, rolls, handstands, and swimming in underwater sections. The announcement trailer also showcased a bit of Lara’s gun fu skills, as she was seen performing a backward gun dive.
Two confirmed enemies shown off in the trailer are the Velociraptors and the Tyrannosaurus Rex, both returning creatures from the first Tomb Raider game. Both Late Cretaceous predators have also been updated to be feathered rather than scaled, like in the original game. We’ll be sure to update this section as more information becomes available!
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Story Plot
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis follows British archaeologist and adventurer Lara Croft, who was hired to hunt down the pieces of an artifact called the Scion of Atlantis. Lara must explore locales long forgotten by time, such as the lush jungles of Peru, Greece’s ancient ruins, the vast deserts of Egypt, and a particular mythical Mediterranean island.
It is currently unknown what changes will be made to the story in Legacy of Atlantis, but the developers stated that the game will have "new surprises" that honor the spirit of the original game. We’ll be sure to update this section as more information becomes available!
