The God Slayer Gameplay
The God Slayer emphasizes combat and exploration. As an Elemancer, players possess the ability to freely wield the five elements: fire, water, earth, wood, and metal to manipulate their environment and defeat their enemies. All elements have multiple uses. For example, though fire is primarily used in combat, it can also be used to heat up objects or to propel players mid-air. Players can also manipulate air pressure and even use it to make objects lighter.
Outside of battle, there will also be elements of alliance building and political intrigue. Zhou Kingdom is home to plenty of factions with differing motives. It is up to the players to find worthy allies and invite them to join the cause.
The God Slayer Story Plot
The God Slayer is set in the Zhou Kingdom, following Cheng, a young man who lost his loved ones during the God Fall, a cataclysmic event that marked the arrival of the Celestials, beings hailed as creation gods. Years after the God Fall, the Zhou Kingdom is now under the Celestials’ control, and they are now divided by class and allegiance to the Celestials. While one side of the Kingdom now enjoys the comforts provided by the advent of steam technology, the other side lives in hardship and squalor.
But working within the shadows is the Star Fall Society, a group of Elemancers who have all experienced loss under the hands of the Celestials. The Star Fall Society dedicates itself to freeing the Zhou Kingdom from the Celestials using the power of Elemancy, the ability to freely wield the five classical elements in Chinese philosophy: fire, water, earth, wood, and metal. As another Elemancer on a mission to enact his revenge on the Celestials and to free his people, Cheng will join the Star Fall Society.
