The Expanse: Osiris Reborn Gameplay

The Expanse: Osiris Reborn features third-person action RPG combat with a strong emphasis on squad-based tactics. Players assume control of a customizable captain, selecting their origin as an Earther, Martian, or Belter, which influences their journey. During fights, players can make use of walls for cover. While doing so, they can also give real-time commands to a crew of specialists.
Two companions can be actively deployed in combat, while other crew members provide support from off-field, such as disabling enemy systems or drawing aggro.

Beyond combat, the gameplay loop involves exploration and decision-making within a semi-open solar system. Players navigate a starship, which serves as a central hub and a base for their assembled crew. While ship-to-ship combat is primarily cinematic, the focus remains on on-foot missions across various locations. These environments, such as Ganymede and Mars, often feature areas for exploration and interactions with NPCs.
A significant aspect of The Expanse: Osiris Reborn's gameplay revolves around crew management and the consequences of player choices. Companions possess individual personalities, pasts, and motivations, and their loyalty is affected by the player's leadership decisions. Because of this, there will, inevitably, be political tension and moral complexity, where choices made by the player impact relationships with crew members and various factions across the solar system.

The Expanse: Osiris Reborn Story

The Expanse: Osiris Reborn places players in the role of a customizable Pinkwater Security mercenary. The narrative begins on Eros Station during a critical lockdown, an event that directly intersects with major occurrences from the initial seasons of The Expanse television series and early books.
There are political tensions and alliances brewing between the three major factions: Earthers, Martians, and Belters. As the story progresses, players become increasingly involved in the intricate political landscape, making choices that can align them with, or betray, these different groups. A pervasive alien element, the protomolecule, is a significant threat within this universe, and its implications are central to the unfolding events the player character experiences.
