Controlling this whole situation is the AI, SHODAN, resurrected and more dangerous than ever, seeking to fulfill her twisted agenda. Guided by the desperate messages of the few remaining survivors, including the enigmatic Dr. Janice Polito, players must navigate the Von Braun, uncover the truth behind the outbreak, and confront SHODAN before she can complete her sinister plans and escape into the vastness of space.
The story unfolds through chilling audio logs, ghostly apparitions, and direct communication from SHODAN herself, all while the player struggles for survival against overwhelming odds and the constant threat of being assimilated into the "Many," a psychic hive mind created by parasitic worms.
