[REDACTED] Story Plot
Callisto’s state-of-the-art penitentiary, Black Iron, becomes affected by a plague that infected all of its inmates, leaving only a few alive and overrun. As a lowly prison guard, the mission is simple: get to the last escape pod and leave the prison alive.
However, you’re not the only one that’s trying to escape. These include a violent gangster, a crazy custodian, an insane lunch lady, and more—they can’t wait to step over your corpse and save themselves.
Only one of you is making it off the moon, and you have to make sure it’s you!
[REDACTED] Gameplay
[REDACTED] is an action roguelike game that’s based on the universe of Callisto Protocol. It features isometric action-shooter gameplay that’s reminiscent of the popular Hades series. As a roguelike, it embraces defeat as a learning experience and as a way to improve yourself by purchasing new weapons, equipment, and abilities.
You’ll be fighting against Rivals who are also trying to get out of the prison, and they’ll be affecting your runs by applying room modifiers and other hazards during your playthrough. Race them to the last escape pod, attack them remotely, or duel them to death to make it out in one piece.
When you die, that previous body will be reanimated and will keep the same loadout they had. Defeat them to earn a powerful upgrade, but be warned, it won’t be an easy fight. Getting to the escape pod is not the end, as you can choose to risk it all by running through the prison one more time. If you fail, you’ll lose all of your purchases, including equipment, weapons, and abilities. On the flip side, you’ll earn new and powerful permanent gear if you succeed.
