Project: Mist Gameplay
Project: Mist is a first-person survival horror game where players wake up to a strange world overrun by monsters of unfathomable size and nature. The core of the gameplay is a mix of base building and fortification, open world exploration, and traditional survival horror elements in which players must deal with limited resources. Consumable resources can be gathered by farming, foraging, and cooking, while special weapons can also be created through the game’s crafting system.
An object that is frequently highlighted is the Gravity Gun, which allows players to stretch the limits of their exploration capabilities. The Gravity Gun may allow them to move or fling otherwise incredibly heavy objects to clear paths or perhaps even uncover secrets.
Players will also have to venture out into the open in order to progress in the story. The open-world aspect of the game encourages players to walk across different locations in the island to discover clues that lead to a secret that lies behind a "giant wall."
Project: Mist Story Plot
Project: Mist is set in a misty post-apocalyptic world ravaged by giant creatures. Players, in the role of an as yet nameless and faceless protagonist, share a mysterious island with these dangerous beasts and witness strange anomalies in the environment. With visuals reminiscent of Stephen King’s The Mist, the game lends an air of mystery and foreboding. Where do these beasts hail from? Why and how have they come to our world? And what stands behind the giant wall in the distance? These are the questions that players must find the answers for themselves.
Not much has been explicitly revealed about the plot, but we will update this article as soon as more information comes out.
