OPUS: Prism Peak Gameplay
OPUS: Prism Peak is a narrative-based adventure puzzle game. Players, as the game’s protagonist, Eugene, are thrown into a fantastical mountain realm while traveling across the countryside. The clues needed to leave the realm are hidden in the surrounding environment, some of which can only be revealed when looking through players’ camera lens. On this journey, they will also be accompanied by a young girl who has lost her memories and enlists your help to find her own way back home.
Similar to Don’t Nod’s Life is Strange, OPUS: Prism Peak emphasizes immersive photography gameplay with controls that emulate a few key functions of professional-grade cameras, allowing players to faithfully capture the beauty of the game’s picturesque locations and its long-held secrets. They may add these photos to Eugene’s journal to document key moments of their adventure, or throw them into an ancient and sacred flame to receive valuable clues.
At times, local spirits will also approach players with requests of their own, hoping to see things they yearn to see through photos. Fulfilling these requests will allow them to form connections with these spirits, shaping the course of their journey and leading them toward an ending that represents the culmination of their efforts and choices.
OPUS: Prism Peak Story Plot

OPUS: Prism Peak is told through the eyes of Eugene, a weary middle-aged photojournalist who seems to have lost his way—a familiar experience shared by many adults in modern times. In an attempt to escape his circumstances, he sets out on a journey back to his hometown, far from his city life, only to cross paths with a young amnesiac girl who has also lost her way, but claims she has the inexplicable feeling that she must serve as a guide for a struggling adult.
While on the train ride home, Eugene finds himself suddenly thrust into a realm that appears every bit like the world as we know it, but is revealed to house old spirits and a mysterious mountain. Eugene must take matters into his own hands and puzzle out the secrets of the mountain to find his way back home. In doing so, however, he will find more than myths and secrets waiting to be discovered.
