Gameplay Overview
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond maintains the iconic gameplay style of its predecessors, primarily featuring a first-person perspective with occasional third-person segments during exploration and specific action sequences.
Samus receives new Psychic Abilities, allowing her to manipulate matter and energy—letting her control her beam's trajectory, operate mechanisms, and open doors from a distance. We also get to see new enemies types and the new setting of Viewros.
Morph Ball
The Morph Ball is a transformation of Samus Aran’s Power Suit that converts her into a sphere, enabling her to move faster and navigate through tight spaces like tunnels. This form also grants her the ability to deploy bombs.
Arm Cannon
Samus' primary weapon, the Arm Cannon, returns in this game, as seen in the trailer, capable of firing energy-based beams and ballistic missiles. Additional abilities, such as the Long Beam or Ice Beam, also make an appearance.
Power Suit
Samus' Power Suit, designed by the Chozo, is equipped with various capabilities to support her survival. It provides an oxygen supply and essential tools for her journey. Additionally, the suit has the ability to scan surroundings for enemies or items and display any damage Samus has taken.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Story
Players once again step into the role of Samus Aran, the legendary bounty hunter, as she embarks on a new mission in this iconic franchise.
The game's antagonist appears to be Sylux, a mysterious figure previously featured in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Metroid Prime: Federation Force. Sylux is seen leading a group of Space Pirates in a raid on a Galactic Federation research facility, accompanied by two docile Metroids known as Mochtroids.
She suddenly finds herself deep in the jungles of the planet Viewros, a world teeming with dangerous alien creatures and mysterious, pulsating energies.
As she searches for answers, she discovers mystical Psychic Abilities that allow her to manipulate matter and energy—enabling her to control her beam's trajectories, operate mechanisms, and open doors from afar.

Samus
Samus Aran is the iconic protagonist of the Metroid series and one of the most renowned bounty hunters in the galaxy. She was adopted and raised by the Chozo, an advanced bird-like race, who trained her to become a warrior. Later, she joined the Galactic Federation Police before leaving to pursue a career as a bounty hunter.
Samus is highly skilled and equipped with her advanced cybernetic Power Suit, which features an array of abilities such as the Arm Cannon and Morph Ball. Her impressive achievements include eradicating the Metroid species and dismantling the Space Pirate base, cementing her reputation as a legendary hunter.
Beneath her suit, Samus is a 6'3" blonde woman known for her bravery, determination, and reserved demeanor. In Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, she embarks on a new mission, seemingly facing off against the enigmatic bounty hunter Sylux.
Sylux
Sylux is a formidable bounty hunter harboring a deep-seated hatred for Samus Aran due to her ties with the Galactic Federation. While much about him and his role in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond remains shrouded in mystery, the announcement trailer revealed key details. Sylux is shown wielding his signature weapon, the Shock Coil, and wearing his distinctive armor. The trailer also depicts him leading a faction of Space Pirates in a raid on a Galactic Federation Research Facility, hinting at his pivotal role in the game's story.
