Final Factory’s story is simple and is mostly expressed through its automation-focused gameplay. Your goal is to create an efficient ship-building factory and combat waves of aliens trying to remove you from their territory. It’s currently unclear if the game’s narrative will be developed past this simple premise, but this is par for the course as far as automation games go.
Final Factory Gameplay
Final Factory is a factory game set in the vast reaches of deep space. Instead of creating processed goods and consumer products, your space-age factories create ships and ship parts. These ships can then serve in your fleet in the everlasting fight against aliens trying to tear you down.
Mega structures like Dyson Spheres and Dark Star Gates can supercharge your factory, allowing you to explore the untold reaches of an infinite, procedurally-generated map. Larger structures like battleships and cargo haulers can also serve in your factory, housing fleets of smaller ships for defense purposes and moving vast amounts of material from one side of the factory to the other, respectively.
Final Factory’s combat layer looks like a promising bullet hell, utilizing unique abilities and fleet configurations to outsmart and outmaneuver the enemy’s onslaught. The complexity of this game’s combat in comparison to its factory management is currently unclear.
