Aniimo Gameplay

Players are free to explore and roam the open world, where they will encounter all sorts of creatures, called Aniimo, in their natural habitats. These Aniimo can then be captured with Aniipods, leveling up the player’s researcher level and making future capture attempts more effective.
Combat with Aniimo is split into two modes: Command and Twine. Command mode, similar to other games within the monster-taming subgenre, allows players to order their furry friends to perform attacks and use abilities against other Aniimo. The difference here is that, instead of turn-based combat, all action happens in real time.

Twine mode, on the other hand, lets players become one with their Aniimo and take on their different strengths and abilities. Here, the action goes up a notch as players can rattle off stunning combos and engage in fast-paced combat as they trade blows with more powerful Aniimo.
Standard in the genre, each Aniimo will have a type, which subsequently dictates their strengths and weaknesses when facing Aniimo of a different type. Additionally, beyond typical stats, each individual Aniimo will also have different traits and quirks that affect their performance in less straightforward ways.
Aniimo Story Plot

Aniimo is set in the world of Idyll, a fascinating land comprising numerous vibrant and diverse biomes, from lush forests to volcanic wastelands—each being home to a wide assortment of Aniimo.
Around Idyll, players will also find various puzzles and secrets around the world of Idyll, chief of which are sanctums. Here players are tasked with making their way through puzzle-filled dungeons where they’ll need to make use of their Aniimo’s unique abilities to reach the end.
Players don’t have to go at it alone either as Aniimo supports a party of up to 4 people. Not only can players explore and solve puzzles together, but they can also trade and go head-to-head with each other.
