Sporting the aesthetics of old anime such as Slayers in a survival horror setting with dating sim elements is an effective recipe for attracting attention. It appeals to various genres easily due to several significant intersections between audiences. Gameplay-wise, though, there's little to go by. As with any survival horror video game with helpless protagonists, the puzzles will carry the majority of the impressions of its players. On the other hand, Little Goody Two Shoes needs an incredible plot to succeed due to the nature of story-driven horror games. After all, many people can tolerate repetitive or even terrible gameplay if the story provides enough incentive to continue playing. Fortunately, the game is set in an era full of mystique, so it shouldn't have much trouble keeping its players hooked.

Little Goody Two Shoes Story Plot
Elise is a young girl with a big dream: to become filthy rich. Unfortunately for her, life seemed to have other plans for her. With few opportunities to earn a fortune, she spends much of her humble life helping her neighbors with menial chores to make a living. But one day, she discovers a gorgeous pair of red shoes buried in her backyard. Bewitched by its beauty, Elise finds herself going deeper into the woods despite the nightmarish creatures around her.

Little Goody Two Shoes looks to be an adventure horror game similar to Nippon Ichi Software's Yomawari series. Completely defenseless and without any martial skills, Elise will have to run, hide, and outsmart the monsters that roam the woods to reach the riches further within. However, unlike Yomawari, there are also dating sim elements added to the game where Elise can potentially connect intimately with three eligible bachelorettes. Players must also navigate society's deep-seated fear of witches by talking their way out of the witch hunts and assisting their neighbors to maintain relationships.
