Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 received a firm release date of October 21 during Gamescom 2025.
March 25, 2025
Paradox Interactive announced that Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has been delayed again to October 2025. As per their update, this is so that "the game meets the technical quality standards that you, our fans, rightfully expect and deserve."
August 20, 2024
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has been pushed back yet again to the first half of 2025. Paradox Interactive's Deputy CEO, Matias Lilia, stated that the delay is necessary to provide The Chinese Room with additional development time.
September 2, 2023
At PAX West 2023, Paradox Interactive announced that The Chinese Room has taken over development of Bloodlines 2. The game was scheduled to launch in late 2024 for PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
February 23, 2021
After parting ways with many key developers, Paradox Interactive terminated its partnership with Hardsuit Labs, Bloodlines 2’s initial developers, in February 2021. The publisher has since teamed up with a new studio to continue development on Bloodlines 2, resulting in a further delay beyond 2021.
October 16, 2019
Originally scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2020, Bloodlines 2 was delayed to later that year. The delay was intended to allow the developers time to refine the game and prevent the mistakes that plagued the original Bloodlines.
March 21, 2019 Reveal Announcement
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 was revealed at the 2019 Game Developers Conference, where the original Bloodlines’ lead writer, Brian Mitsoda, presented a demo of the game.
