Splitgate 2 Open Beta Test Started May 22, 2025

Following the conclusion of its Open Alpha Playtest, 1047 Games announced an Open Beta for Splitgate 2, which began on May 22, 2025, and will continue until the game's official launch this June 6, 2025.
The studio used feedback from the Alpha to provide a more comprehensive and refined Beta experience. They stated, "The Open Beta is going to have way more than the Open Alpha. Way more." Its teaser trailer suggests that this includes a substantial increase in content, including 25 weapons, more than 15 maps, and over 10 game modes.

Splitgate 2 Open Alpha Playtest
Announced during Sony's February 2025 State of Play, Splitgate 2's Open Alpha Playtest ran from February 27th to March 3rd, 2025 at . Unlike last year's PC-only Closed Alpha, this Open Alpha will be available on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
No registration was required; all players were welcome to participate. According to the game’s press release, the playtest featured new maps, weapons, game modes, and even an 8v8v8 multiplayer experience.

Splitgate 2 Closed Alpha Playtest
Splitgate 2’s Closed Alpha Playtest concluded on August 25, 2024. The test started on August 21st of the same year and was accessible to invited players and those who obtained Alpha keys. These are obtainable by pressing the "Request Access" button on the game’s Steam page or by watching participating Twitch streamers for two hours (earned through Twitch Drops).
While the initial Alpha was exclusive to PC, the developers have confirmed that the upcoming Alpha playtest in 2025 will support PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
