October 11, 2024
Metaphor: ReFantazio was released worldwide on Windows, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam. The game was also announced to have sold over 1 million copies just right after it launched.
April 22, 2024
ATLUS presented a 25-minute special hosted by Director Katsura Hashino, where he unveiled new gameplay footage of Metaphor: ReFantazio. During the event, Hashino also announced that the game is scheduled for release on October 11, 2024.
June 12 2023
ATLUS officially unveiled Metaphor: ReFantazio on June 12, 2023, during Microsoft's Xbox Games Showcase presentation. The game was announced for release on Windows and Xbox Series X/S, and later confirmed to also be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam.
December 2016
Metaphor: ReFantazio was first announced under the codename Project Re:Fantasy in December 2016 along with some art-work for the game where it depicted a red-headed elf with silver shining armor who we now know is Hulkenburg, one of your party members and the royal guard tasked to protect the priest.
