Officially Announced During Google Stadia Connect 2019
The game was officially announced during Google's Stadia Connect event, where Larian unveiled the game’s official reveal trailer. Later, a detailed gameplay reveal was shown at PAX East.
Entered Early Access in October 2020
After a slight delay from the planned August 2020 release, BG3 launched in early access on PC. The early access included the first act of the game and was regularly updated based on player feedback.
