Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 4 Trailer
DLC Wave 4 Releasing in Spring 2023
During the Nintendo Direct on Feb. 8th, 2023, Nintendo provided a few details about the most recent DLC wave in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass. Wave 4 includes the new Yoshi's Island race course, and a new character, Birdo, who previously appeared in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! for GameCube. Nintendo didn't provide an exact release date, but it will arrive some time in Spring 2023.
New Course Available - Yoshi's Island
Yoshi's Island is a brand new course in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC, featuring modernized 3D versions of characters and enemies from the Yoshie's Island spin-off series. Yoshi's Island is the only new course confirmed for Wave 4 at this time, but it does look like a fun stage to cruise around.
As seen in the trailer, the course will contain both underwater sections and gliding sections. During the gliding sections, players can glide into the Yoshi's Island style question mark boxes to reveal an alternate route during the race. How cool is that?
New Character - Birdo
Birdo appears as the first new playable character included as part of the Booster Course Pass DLC in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe! The trailer shows several color variations that players can choose from, including colors like yellow, blue, green, red, and pink. Since Birdo previously appeared in Mario Kart: Double Dash, there's a possibilty that characters from the other Mario Kart titles will also be added in future waves.
