On May 12, 2023, a brand new Link Amiibo will be released coinciding with the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
This particular Amiibo will provide players with useful items and weapons, as well as potentially granting them a cosmetically altered version of the paraglider (see picture above). While trying to get one of these Tears of the Kingdom Amiibos can be tough, here is a list of retailers that have stocked up on them for the game's upcoming launch.
Interestingly, at the time of writing, the Nintendo Shop does not offer a pre-order option for this Amiibo, but it's possible that they are holding off until the release of the game to make it available.

Should You Buy the New Link Amiibo?
Consider Usefulness and Space
Using Amiibos in Tears of the Kingdom will undoubtedly give players some perks and resources, but it's important to note that none of these items will effect the gameplay experience in any major way. Amiibos are designed to give the player a bit of an edge, but a player who buys this Link Amiibo will not suddenly be brokenly strong at the start of the game because they spent extra money.
Another factor to consider before buying is space. Are you the type of person to collect things? Realistically do you have a place in your home for this type of thing? Do you enjoy displaying figures for games that you are into? If this is your kind of thing, then by all means, buy it and don't look back, but we also want to encourage players to spend money wisely. After all that money could go towards something else. Even another game.
