Hogwarts Legacy

February is starting out strong as Hogwarts Legacy comes out on Feb 10, as one of the most anticipated game for this month. This open-world immersive roleplay game will let you play as a mysterious Hogwarts student in the 1800s. You can chart your course and become the wizard or witch you want to be.

Buy it if you are a Harry Potter fan! Hogwarts Legacy lets you fulfill dreams of getting that letter from Hogwarts. With its open-world exploration feature, you get to relive the books and the movies that was once part of your childhood. The customization feature also allows the players to follow their own aesthetic which makes it a personalized exploration of the game.

Lastly, the lore for Hogwarts would be different from the books and movies so it's interesting to write one for yourself. Ready to be a wizard? See you there!

Wanted: Dead

This game is not for the faint hearted. If you can steel through blood, gore and dismemberment, consider yourself part of the Zombie Unit! You get to take on the role of Lt. Hannah Stone, a fierce Hong Kong police officer on a quest to expose a huge corporate conspiracy. Enjoy this cyberpunk adventure as you plow through foes on their toughest difficulty.

Buy it if you're into shooting games. Since it is not everyone's cup of tea, it may be enjoyed by players who already have experience and sensibilities for blood and gore.

Returnal

Suppose you want to experience escaping a time loop. In that case, Returnal is a psychological horror game that lets you play as the hardheaded explorer, Selene Vassos, who landed on an off-limits planet to investigate a signal that seemed familiar to her. Upon crash landing on a planet, you'll see heaps of corpses of you. Freaky? Explore the game by finding ways to escape the planet and uncover why you are getting called over.

Buy it. Despite it being third-person shooter game, the plot of the game makes it different from other shooter games. You get to explore a planet that's hostile against you, and you have to get out of the time-loop that keeps you in the planet.

It also has a co-op mode that makes the experience less nerve-wracking with a friend helping you explore the hostile environment of the planet but also give an additional possiblity of survival. The game even has sensory functions so the player can experience haptic feedback and trigger effects.

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line

After a few intense games on the list, Theatrhythm is a breath of fresh air. It is a way to enjoy Square Enix's soundtracks in the form of a rhythm game! This includes popular tracks from over 40 games, including the Final Fantasy franchise. You also get to watch all the tracks and movies you have collected via theatre mode without the rhythm game action. If you need a family-friendly game, Theatrhythm is the game you play!

Wait For A Sale. While this would give you access to Square Enix's soundtracks and cinematics, the gameplay itself is redundant. If you are a Square Enix fan, and appreciate the soundtrack this is a game for you.

Wild Hearts

Seeing this game makes us think of Chinese Divine Beasts betrayed by humanity. In this game, you get to tame these Wild Hearts that wreak havoc on the land of Azuma. You play as a formidable hunter whose expertise and weapons could save the people who inhabit the land. Wild Hearts is also multiplayer, so grab a friend and tame giant beasts!

Buy it if you are into Monster Hunter. While this is an intricate game that lets you tame giant wild beasts in a Fantasy Medieval Japan, it may only appeal to those that are familiar with the hunting system.

Tales of Symphonia Remastered

Now available on Nintendo Switch, Tales of Symphonia is coming back with enhanced graphics and improved gameplay. If you enjoy Tales of Symphonia when it is in its Nintendo GameCube form, or if you appreciate it in its anime form, getting into the remastered version will immerse you in the story again.

Buy if you are a Tales of Symphonia fan. This is the chance to experience Tales of Symphonia in a different platform, and in better graphics.

Atomic Heart

Atomic Heart's world is a robot-controlled system that went awry and caused a tragic accident. Survive a world overrun by mutant creatures, terrifying machines, and super-powered robots, all suddenly rebelling against their creators. It is now up to you to stop them and find out what caused this conspiracy. Fight and Adapt to overcome challenges for the sake of survival!

Buy it for the intricate storyline and amazing graphics. It is an Alternate timeline where USSR defeated Nazi Germany, investing in robotics.

With the current deal with AI and robotics today, this game is a what-if scenario that would get us to ponder about the dependency we have for robots, and perhaps finding ways to defeat an army of rebellious robots when things go bad. For a survival game, it's nice to not deal with zombies for once. And can we talk about gameplay? Chef's kiss.

If you love challenging yourself and don't mind the gore and the jumpscares, this one is for you!

Like a Dragon: Ishin!

Travel back to the Edo Period, where you take on the role of Sakamoto Ryoma, a distressed samurai figuring out his role in society. Equipped with the proper combat skills, he was bent on finding his Master's murderer and joined the Shinsengumi. If you enjoy Yakuza, you will also like this one, as it is a spin-off of the Like a Dragon series!

Buy it if you are a Yakuza franchise fan. This game gives you the same Yakuza vibes and for a fan, Like A Dragon: Ishin gives you a different perspective of what it would be if they were in the Edo Period.

Company of Heroes 3

Coming back to the game, Company of Heroes 3 is a sequel that features mechanics set in the Italian and North African theatres of World War II. Take charge as a General and guide the campaign to victory! Enjoy action packed Cinematic Tactical Gameplay with breathtaking environment.

Wait for a sale since the game would have the same gameplay, but only an addition of two theatres.

Octopath Traveler 2

Square Enix is on a roll in releasing game after game. Octopath Traveler II is a pixel art roleplaying game enhanced with great detail and camerawork. Its 3D enhancement also gives the players a better battle and exploration experience. Choose from the eight characters and tread a path to resolve their conflict!

Buy it if you're into JRPGS. It's refreshing to see pixel art games having makeover into something so beautiful that you would want to play it again, and again. Octopath traveler lets you walk the path of eight travelers so that they can fulfill their aspirations.

While the art style would make you fall in love with the game, we are hoping with its visual enhancement, the interaction between the eight would also increase. Other than that, the stories of the travelers are beautifully crafted.

Destiny II: Lightfall

Destiny II: Lightfall is a DLC Expansion for Destiny II. Explore a new destination and fight against Tormentors and Cloud Striders. Encounter Broodweavers; telekinetic sorcerers that can hypnotize creatures, and Threadrunners; swingers of the city.

Buy it if you're into Destiny II franchise. Since this is a DLC, you can still play the game without it, but having it gives you more content in your gameplay and it is believed that this DLC is the start of the end.
