Zenless Zone Zero opens up another round of registrations for an upcoming beta test. Read on to learn what you need to do to register and possibly win other prizes.
Zenless Zone Zero Beta Testing Registrations Opened
Limited-Edition Merchandise and Other Prizes Up For Grabs
After teasing a big update the day prior, Zenless Zone Zero announced Nov 4th, 2023 that they are opening registrations for the next closed beta for the game.
Players interested in participating can head to Zenless Zone Zero's official website to register for what the developers are referring to as the game's "Equalizing Test." Included in the registration procedures is a reasonably lengthy survey concerning your level of interest in HoYoverse's games and other mobile titles.
Aside from the registration by email, Zenless Zone Zero has also announced various other means you could use to get into the Equalizing Test.
One of these alternative methods is to participate in their Fan Art Contest. Although this will require far more effort than simply answering a survey, the rewards include more than just their beta test invitation.
According to their HoYoLAB post, the rewards include:
Outstanding Creator Prizes (x20)
● Steam Deck (64GB), 1 winner.
● Logitech K835 Mechanical Keyboard, 3 winners.
● Razer DeathAdder Essential, 6 winners.
● Zenless Zone Zero merch bundle*, 10 winners.
Lucky Creator Prize (×50)
● 50 Proxies whose submissions meet eligibility requirements and who submitted during Phase 1 will be randomly selected to receive 1 Equalizing Test Qualification.
- Merch bundle contains: 24-Slot Switch Game Cartridge Holder ×1, Bangboo Wrist Protector Mouse Pad ×1, Acrylic Fridge Magnet Collection - City NPCs Edition ×1.
Another way you can win beta test invitations is to participate in their Piñata Frenzy event. This will be held on their Discord server, so joining it will be required. But unlike their Fan Art Contest, the Piñata Frenzy event is far less time-consuming.
You may also win the right to participate in their beta testing by simply following their X (formerly Twitter) page and retweeting the post above. There are many more prizes to be won in this event, such as a 1-year Nitro Basic Subscription for Discord, a mouse mat, acrylic magnets for your fridge, a 24-slot game cartridge holder, and a wrist protector mouse pad. However, as this is also the most accessible event for the general public, expect the number of participants to be a few orders of magnitude greater than those who registered for the beta test through their website, Discord, and Fan Art Contest.
Then, you can play their browser game "A Sandwich Scented Dream." A HoYoverse account will be required to participate, though, so if you have already registered through their official website, then you might as well try your luck here as well.
Update 6/10/2023: HoYoverse has announced another community event where you could earn testing qualifications for Zenless Zone Zero. The event, called "New Eridu Archives - Grace," simply involves providing your thoughts regarding one of the game's characters, Grace from Belobog Heavy Industries, in their HoYoLABs post. A total of ten (10) Equalizing Test Qualifications will be given out through this event.
While some players were eagerly expecting a release date announcement for Zenless Zone Zero, getting a round of beta tests right after they received their publication license in China does imply that their official release is near. HoYoverse still has a couple of months left before 2023 ends and a few more in 2024 to release their game before their license expires. Hopefully, the Equalizing Test, as its name implies, is the final testing session for the game before the announcement of an official release date. But that doesn't mean HoYoverse should rush to release the game within the following year. As some comments from their previous posts imply, many of their fans are perfectly happy waiting just so HoYoverse could release the game in a complete state.
