Xenoblade Chronicles’ developer Monolift Soft shared a picture on social media of the game’s huge pile of scripts, detailing just how much work goes into the game. Read on to see what else they have to say about it.

Xenoblade Chronicles Is One Huge Game

Scripts Here, Scripts There, Scripts Everywhere

Developer Monolith Soft of Xenoblade Chronicles fame has posted on their official X (Twitter) account their massive collection of thick script books for the series—piles upon piles of them. The post even noted that these piles are only for the main storylines, with separate scripts for the side quests, showing just how much work gets put into these games.

Xenoblade Chronicles is a JRPG series that is well-known for its massive size, in plot, dialogue, world, even gameplay time. Each game requires at least 70 hours to complete, not including all the extra side quests and content. Players have reported even reaching 150 hours or more for a full completionist run.

In response to the post, fans have taken to the post’s replies, with some shocked at the sheer number of individual script books there were, calling it "so awesome," while others jokingly asking if they were available for purchase for their collections.

For news on the future of the beloved series, Monolith Soft has yet to announce the next title in the franchise or whether or not it will be coming soon. However, a re-release of Xenoblade Chronicles X, fittingly called Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, will be released on March 20th, 2025 for the Nintendo Switch. The game is available for pre-purchase on the official Nintendo eShop in Digital or Physical format for $59.99 USD.
