Everything We Know So Far About Xbox Partner Preview 2024

Third Party Titles Confirmed Through The Main Account

According to a recent tweet from Xbox's official account, the upcoming Xbox Partner Preview will include exciting updates on Alan Wake 2: The Lake House, Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, and Wuchang: Fallen Brothers. The Lake House is the latest DLC for Alan Wake 2, which originally launched on October 27, 2023, across consoles and Epic Games. While the DLC doesn't have a confirmed release date yet, its inclusion in the showcase may provide the long-awaited update fans have been hoping for.

In addition to these updates, the showcase will feature multiple world premieres, bringing fresh titles to the lineup and promising new surprises for viewers during the 25-minute event!

First Party Titles Will Likely Not Appear

Image

The upcoming Xbox Partner Preview will focus exclusively on third-party updates, meaning that major first-party titles like Clockwork Revolution are unlikely to be showcased. Fans of Halo should also temper their expectations, as Halo Studios (formerly 343 Industries) is not expected to make an appearance, despite the recent release of Project Foundry, a tech demo offering a glimpse into the future of the Halo franchise. Although several Halo titles have been confirmed to be in the pipeline, updates on these projects are unlikely to surface during this event.

Game Pass Updates for October and November

Image

Microsoft recently revealed their updated Game Pass lineup for the spooky season of October, featuring several notable third-party titles. These include Ubisoft’s South Park: The Fractured but Whole, Ben Esposito’s quirky indie game Donut County, and Piranha Games’ highly anticipated MechWarrior 5: Clans. The biggest addition to the lineup is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 by Treyarch and Raven Software, which will be available on both PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate on launch day.

Interestingly, MechWarrior 5: Clans is slated for release on October 17, 2024, aligning with the Xbox Partner Preview showcase.

On the flip side, several titles are leaving the service, including Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery by Worm Club, Headbangers: Rhythm Royale by Team17, and Inkulinati by Yaza Games.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater Games Might Appear

Image

In a recent episode of Mythical Kitchen on YouTube, legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk shared some exciting news about the 25th anniversary of the iconic Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game franchise. Hawk revealed, “I've been talking to Activision again, which is insanely exciting. We're working on something—This is the first time I've said that publicly.”

With Activision Blizzard now owned by Microsoft, speculation is high that an announcement for a new Pro Skater title could be made during the upcoming Xbox Partner Preview showcase. Considering the milestone anniversary, it's a fitting time for the beloved franchise to make a big comeback.
