Slated for Thursday, 18th January 2024, at 12 pm PT / 3 pm ET / 8 pm GMT, Xbox will provide players "an inside look at a selection of highly anticipated games coming to Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass." The Xbox Developer Direct showcase will be streamed live on the official Xbox channel on YouTube and through the brand’s social media accounts.
Presented by the game creators themselves, Developer Direct will offer an in-depth look at upcoming titles, such as MachineGames‘ Indiana Jones title, Obsidian’s Avowed, Oxide Games’ Ara: History Untold, and Ninja Theory‘s Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2.
Indiana Jones Game
MachineGames, known for their work on the Wolfenstein series, will reveal details about their highly anticipated Indiana Jones game—an action-adventure that immerses players in the iconic archaeologist's world. The showcase will include over 10 minutes of gameplay and developer insights, featuring the game's setting, storyline, and how players will take on the role of Indy.
Avowed
Obsidian Entertainment will provide an extensive look at the gameplay in Avowed, their upcoming fantasy action RPG. Set in the fantastical Living Lands, the presentation will explore Obsidian's world-building, gameplay, and more on the player's agency to shape their adventure through choices.
Ara: History Untold
Oxide Games, creators of classic strategy titles like Civilization V, will unveil exclusive gameplay and share insights into the inspiration, key features, and plans for their historical grand strategy game, Ara: History Untold.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II
Ninja Theory will take viewers behind the scenes at their studio in Cambridge, offering insights into the making of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II. The presentation will delve into the creative process of creating Senua’s journey of survival.
Game Pass Announcements
The showcase will be a celebration of a selection of upcoming games and part of Xbox's commitment to delivering must-play experiences for its players. While 2024 started with a strong lineup for Game Pass members, Microsoft assures that more remarkable games from Xbox and their partners will be added throughout the year.

Following the Developer Direct showcase, ZeniMax Online Studios will host The Elder Scrolls Online 2024 Global Reveal at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm GMT. This standalone presentation will unveil the next major Chapter of the game, including details about the new zone, storyline, and other significant features to be introduced in the game's most substantial update this year.
