WWE 2K24 unveiled its full roster this week. However, two notable omissions from the lineup were WWE co-founder Vince McMahon and wrestling superstar Brock Lesnar, following a high-profile lawsuit.

WWE Requested 2K to Remove Lesnar
WWE 2k24 revealed its full roster, including over 200 characters available at launch, however, WWE co-founder Vince McMahon and WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar were notably excluded from the list. The decision was reported to stem from a lawsuit leveled against McMahon by a former WWE employee, accusing him and a former executive of sexual assault and trafficking.
It was alleged that McMahon directed the former employee to create explicit content for a WWE star in an attempt to re-sign him. While the lawsuit did not name the wrestler, it described him as both a 'UFC fighter and WWE talent.' According to the Wall Street Journal, people familiar with the matter identified the wrestler as Brock Lesnar.
In response to the lawsuit, Lesnar was, likewise, previously removed from the cover of WWE 2K24's 40 Years of WrestleMania Edition. Furthermore, reports from sports media outlet Fightful Select suggested that while Lesnar and other historically significant characters would appear in the game's MyRise and Showcase modes, they would not be playable outside of those modes.
WWE also reportedly requested that developer 2K exclude Lesnar as a playable character altogether. WWE 2K24 is set to launch on March 8 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
