Resonators, Wuthering Waves’ label for their playable characters, is one of the game’s centerpieces. With a large following of action RPG enthusiasts and fans carried over from the developer’s previous title, Punishing Gray Raven, each of its Resonator Showcase videos is met with abundant interest and interaction from the resulting community.
Danjin’s recent Resonator Showcase isn’t an exception. Within a day, it has already collected over 100 thousand views on Wuthering Waves’ YouTube account, threatening to displace Aalto’s view count at over 200 thousand a month after its release.

Over at X (formerly Twitter), the hashtag #WutheringWaves trended briefly. This is also due to users posting about the game’s appearance at G-Star 2023 in Korea, where a playable demo for the game is available for interested gamers to try.
In service to the global community, many of these screenshots have been shared by players with a translation to English available from its Hangul interface.
Many of the posts centered around comparing the state of the game between its current iteration based on its G-Star 2023 appearance and PVs with its CBT version several months ago. Many users appear happy with the improvements, particularly the visual designs.
Particular attention was paid to the upgrade in Danjin’s animations and artworks. Users praised the PV for its beautiful showcase of the character and the developers’ apparent efforts to continue working on even aspects of the game that already looked polished.
Resonator stat sheets have also been shared across the social media platform, giving other players a glimpse of the parameters Wuthering Waves will have them work with. The users also paid great attention to combat mechanics, such as support skills. But since the demo doesn't reflect the full release, discussions are rife with the implications of the details learned through the event.
The hashtag is also full of fanart for not just Danjin but also for the other resonators such as Aalto and the other Resonators.

Wuthering Waves is an upcoming open-world action RPG developed by Kuro Games that will be released for the PC and mobile. While a release date hasn’t been announced yet, it recently obtained its publishing license in China. That means the game has to launch within a year before its publishing license expires.
